Om Namo Shivago
The traditional Thai Yoga massage is an ancient therapeutic method that goes back to the times of Buddha. The founder of Thai Yoga massage was Shivago Komarpaj, a doctor from the North of India, who was close to Buddha Sakyamuni, and personal doctor of king Bimbisara as well as of the congregation of Buddhist monks who set up the first Shanga, more than 2,500 years ago.
When your body needs to be stretched, to open up, to move, the Thai Yoga massage is exactly what you need.
In Thai Yoga massage, the client wears comfortable clothing. The practitioner sets the client in postures that resemble yoga stances, applies different stretching as well as pressure on the energy lines. The “Sen” lines symbolize the energy around the body shape while the meridians used in the Chinese acupuncture represent the energy flow associated with the internal organs. In Thai Yoga massage, the practitioner uses his fingers, hands, forearms, elbows, knees and feet to apply pressure.
The traditional Thai massage has always been seen as a spiritual practice. It is the expression of Love, Compassion, and Kindness (“Metta” in Pali).
A good practitioner must maintain his state of spirit in line with this approach. The therapist is fully aware of ALL and everything. He is in meditation or contemplation. It is only in this state of spirit that the energy can penetrate deeply into the physical body and touch the whole Being. Healing takes place in the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual body.
Benefits of the traditional Thai massage include:
- Increased flexibility and extent of movement- No more pain and muscle spasms
- Improved posture
- It calms the nervous system, promotes relaxation and increases the overall energy
-It helps to release stress and deeply rooted emotions
- It stimulates the internal organs
-It helps in case of chronic fatigue, headaches and pain in articulations and limbs
- It nourishes all the bodies and each cell with the energy, the Qi, transmitted by the practitioner.

The meditation that, in the beginning, leads to Dhyana which is a combination of relaxation, focus, calm and peacefulness; and later on, when the mirror of our spirit becomes clear, to awareness of all internal and external movement. This awareness creates the space for transcendental wisdom or Prajna.
Prayer and Mantra: How to open up your heart, the why and how of the prayer, and the way it works.
Stretching exercises can be done by everyone. They stimulate the internal organs and the whole body, from head to toes. Regular and correct stretching improves circulation to all the muscles and organs as well as articulation movement. All pain and tension accumulated in the body will disappear.
Auto-massage: it improves the circulation and stimulates the elasticity of the blood vessels, relaxes the muscles and opens up the energy lines.
Develop and understand the internal and external energies: Tai Chi of the four directions practiced by yourself and with a partner. Ba duan Jin Qi Gong.
Breathing exercises: breathe in and out correctly to increase the opening of the diaphragm and bring more oxygen to every cell in the body. Breathing exercises help to clear the mind and improve concentration, a true meditation in action.
Hands of Light: Transmission and initiation to the healing energy that emanates from the inner Buddha and the gracious ALL. The energy is rechanneled through the hands.
Thai Yoga massage: After being initiated and having acquired some knowledge through personal practice of stretching, auto-massage and meditation, you will be initiated to the Thai Yoga massage or Nuad Boram.
