Meditation
Meditation is practiced in all spiritual and religious traditions.
It is the instrument that allows us to arrive to a contemplation of our true Divine nature.
The word « meditation » is derived from the Latin, from the root word “medite” which means “to rest on a thought, an idea”.
With meditation, we become the subject on which we meditate. We acquire its qualities, its nature, its conditions. From this, we understand well the importance of choosing a neutral subject that is as close as possible to Divine reality. In this method, the subject chosen is the Vast Grace Light. It can be represented in the form of a flame or a sphere of golden light. It manifests in us by sound and inner light – first there was light, then the sound and the word.
Many methods of meditation exist, most of which are derived from the ancient science of Indian yoga.
By the practice of meditation, we come to an inner silence that carries harmony, peace, joy, well-being to each of our cells and balances the material and spiritual aspects within us.
Meditation allows us to have a greater clarity that facilitates the making of decisions.
Meditation allows us to becme conscious of various movements of our being. It develops concentration, allows us to see beyond appearances, beyond our fears and limitations.
Why meditate?
Modern society, particularly in the West, accords little importance to spiritual development and human values. It places all its attention and energy, instead, to material development. It is quite clear this creates an imbalance that is the cause of much dis-ease and various illnesses.
Humanity needs both material and spiritual aspects - in a proper balance - in order to attain peace, harmony and global health of the self and its environment.
Dhaya Dorje approach to meditation
Meditation through the physical body - Vast Grace Light
Meditation through the mental body and the five senses - Vast Grace Light
Meditation through the life force - Supreme Compassion
Meditation through the soul - Vast Grace Light
Meditation through the physical body
(with breath and movement)
Life is made up of movements and it is necessary to breathe in order to live. The aspirant enters into his/her first experiences and begins to feel the benefits of meditation. He/she realises the void and inner calm.
Meditation through the psychic body (mental and emotional)
The aspirant begins to understand the workings of thoughts, learns to integrate the five senses, opens his/her heart to prayer, to presence and uses the power of the creative word. He/she uses the movement/function of the eyes. In the void, he/she discovers the Light presence in himself/herself.
Meditation through the life force
Meditation by the invocation of Arut Perum Jothi, the Vast Grace Light, the golden spheres, the anchoring into Earth, the energy of shakti in us, the sacred feminine.
Meditation by the invocation of Arut Perum Jothi, the Vast Grace Light, the golden spheres, the anchoring into Earth, the energy of shakti in us, the sacred feminine.
The aspirant realises there is a force superior to him/her, a force that animates all life and that can descend and help him/her on his/her path of transformation. He/she accepts the existence of Divine Grace and allows this force to descend into the depths of his/her being, down to the centre of the Earth and from there, he/she realises the psychic Self or Christ in him/her, the causal fire of the heart.
Mediation through the spiriual body - the soul
Meditation with inner sound and light. It is through the inner light and sound that we come to know God.
The aspirant opens his psychic senses and develops the Divine head. He comes into contact with his/her higher self. He/she realises the Vast Grace Light is in him/her and outside him/her – a multidimensional bridge is created.
Mystical Contemplation
When the aspirant has discovered his/her natural state and enters into Woman’s receptivity, his/her heart and his/her spirit become One. He/she remains in mystical contemplation. Love, Compassion and Prayer are spontanious. Knowledge auto-manifests itself.
When the transmission of this ultimate step is complete, this does not mean the aspirant will be able to remain in contemplation of the Grace Light, but that there will be moments offered to him/her that will allow him/her to evolve and increase his/her inner knowledge. This mystical contemplation is associated with the practice of Vicharam: Divine self-questioning, a practice transmitted by Vallalar (Saint Ramalinga).
Christ himself has said : ask and you shall receive
These words are often misunderstood.
Vallalar explains this well in his last sermon. At the first level, it is understood as: ask for whatever you need, and you will receive it. How many of us have tried this and realised it does not always work? For, unless we have arrived to a certain vibrational level, we know what we can and cannot ask. It is certain, however, that all questioning done on a Divine level will receive an answer. On the Divine plane, you will receive if you ask. This is where true Knowledge exists – a Knowing that comes from inside and not from books or from “it was said”.
To be able to enter this mystical contemplation where the ego mind and the manifestations of the senses are erased, it is necessary to practice and integrate the four steps or stages of meditation.
The inner heat that is created by the practice of Vicharam will allow the entire being to transform towards a being that becomes the instrument of Higher Divine Force or the Grace Light.
